ABOT FAQ | Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of membership?

Every member will be included in and receive ABOT’s Membership and Resource Directory annually, your business information (including address, telephone, website, email, and fax) will be listed alongside the entire roster of members; and now, an abbreviated version of the directory is posted on the all new www.abot.org. The directory also provides important neighborhood, city and state contacts.

Why join ABOT?

There have always been many reasons to join ABOT, but now is a particularly exciting time to consider membership. ABOT is a neighborhood chamber of commerce, serving the needs of area business as a government liaison. Additionally, ABOT combines member resources for community service, business district improvement, and political clout; while providing written and social forums for member networking, and exclusive access to legislators, wholesalers, and area news.

What will I actually get as a member?

You will receive the monthly newsletter, Crossroads, featuring a community calendar and other items of interest to those doing business in Allston. Also, members will be invited periodically to Allston Business Forum events for networking, and often featuring one-on-one interfacing with otherwise unavailable persons and resources.

What will membership cost?

At as little as $60 annually, ABOT membership is an investment in your business’ community, and in accomplishing goals through ABOT advocacy that are unassailable to the lone member. Memberships are prorated pursuant to employment level: $60 for up to two employees, $100 for three-ten employees, and $175 for ten or more employees.
