Donating Time, Money and Resources
Like all volunteer community organizations, what we are able to accomplish is often limited and/or defined by our manpower resources, our financial resources and by the resources local businesses, institutions and the City makes available to us.
However, honest, motivated volunteers are the single most important resource of all, because without good people nothing good can happen proactively.
In addition to experienced Executive Board members, we really need energetic and bright young people, such as up-and-coming managers, employees and interns, as well as residential volunteers, students and more to help us with our very serious committee work.
Our committees are focused small groups that meet once per month each for a few hours and usually have a small amount of homework. We are currently tracking the garbage problem in Allston so we can ascertain intelligent, low-cost ways to combat this ever-present problem; we are working on increasing our reach into local businesses; we are bringing value-adds to our members; we are gathering City information and much more - and these young committee members will help us accomplish these goals today and maybe become Board of Director members in the future.
